Steve Bruce is willing to take charge of Aston Villa this summer if the club hand him a hefty transfer kitty.

The Hull manager has been sounded out about replacing Remi Garde, who is expected to leave at the end of the season.

And Bruce is open to taking the job, according to the Mirror.

He has insisted on been handed funds to guide Vila back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Bruce would be prised away from the Tigers, if they fail to earn promotion from the Championship this season.

The former Manchester United player has currently led Hull to fourth in the table and promotion is a genuine possibility.

If he does achieve promotion, Villa will have to turn their attention elsewhere.
